In each level, you must move over nearby elemental 'fonts' to become Earth or Air. With your new powers, overcome a variety of obstacles to bring every ghostly audience member to the exit door. Use the mouse to navigate menus, and the arrow keys to move in-game. Press spacebar to use your powers.
Version 1.0 of the game brings a huge host of improvements over 0.8, including:
- Much clearer level selection screen
- Tighter integration of cutscenes and story
- Richer audio with more music and sound effects
- Several bug-fixes
A magician’s trick goes horribly wrong, and now he must fix his mistake. But that’s easier said than done when your entire audience has been banished into another dimension… The Pretender is a puzzle-based 2D platform game designed to twist your brain into a knot. Take control of a 19th Century parlour magician who is transported to a world where the very elements can be manipulated. Using your new-found powers, rescue your audience and bring them back to the real world. But it won’t be easy. Many obstacles stand in your way, and only through the cunning use of the elements will you pass through. And even if you manage that, you will find that more dark surprises await you in this strange land…
