Use the mouse to use your powers. The scroll wheel switches between your abilities.
Wind: Click and drag the mouse to create a gust of wind. The magnitude is determined by the length of the line, so draw a long line if necessary. You can only drag where the green field exists, so that means that the wind cannot blow steeply upwards or downwards.
Rain: Click and drag the mouse up or down. The higher up you drag, the more rain you will summon.
Lightning: Click and drag the mouse in any direction. The farther away you drag from the origin, the stronger the lightning blast will be.
Known Issues
June 10th: You can now press 1, 2, or 3 to select your weather powers.
June 6th: I added a few minor fixes:
- Added some extra starting powerups to some levels
- Fixed some terrain issues on the last level
- Made wind affect water more
Overview
Storm is a physics based game where you control the weather. You can breathe gusts of wind, summon torrents of rain, and call down lightning. The goal is to play with the environment to guide a series of balls towards the target.
Status
Storm is currently a prototype. The current download is just meant to give you an idea of the game concept. The full version of the game will be very polished, and will have much more content any many new features. Here is a sample of what you can expect from the full version:
- More elemental powers, such as snow, hail, cold, and heat
- Many more levels
- More physics based interactions, such as blocks, floating objects, walls that are destructable by elements like lightning, melting snow, and anything that will enable additional interesting physical puzzles
- A level editor/creator
- Nicer visual effects, like better water visuals, background ambience like distant lightning and rain, and grander lightning effects
- A nice user interface
- Additional original music
