Brief Game Description

Direct your squadron of Neanderthal Cavemen as they attempt to defend planet earth from an alien invasion.

For thousands of years, men have claimed that Alien life-forms have visited Earth (or at the very least middle-America). These assertions are completely untrue. There is only one occasion in the history of mankind when aliens walked on planet Earth.

Gameplay

Cavemen VS Aliens is a real-time strategy action game with simplistic controls, but innovative gameplay. Using the Xbox 360 controller, you must aid your cavemen on the battlefield to success, and demolish the aliens' evil desires. The cavemen's allies are the brightly coloured pterodactyls. Each pterodactyl has a unique ability which is mapped to one of the four buttons on the controller.

For example, a blue pterodactyl collects cavemen from their base deploys them into battle. The red pterodactyl on the other hand, picks them up and returns them to safety. The yellow pterodactyl supplies the cavemen in battle with ammunition and the green pterodactyl supplies the cavemen in battle with health. Using these four pterodactyls and their unique functions, the cavemen must be aided to ensure victory against their extra-terrestrial enemies.

Background

Aliens from Planet NouBruce are an advanced race compared with Neanderthal cavemen of planet earth. The NouBruce aliens have reached a high-tech civilisation age. These aliens are no longer focused on where their next meal is coming from, but have more pressing matters. These include following the activities of minor alien celebrities, ensuring they are wearing the latest fashions and talking to their friends on the new-fangled portable telephone device.

Here is where the problem starts - the modern alien consumer is unhappy with the poor performance of his new portable telephone device.

The NouBruce super-sized media companies are in hot competition for who can create the first planet-wide communication network. Unfortunately the electromagnetic emissions from the current systems are incredibly harmful to alien citizens. The only option is to install the base stations outside of their atmosphere.

The R&D department at Green mobile communications head-quarters has come up with a unique solution - to install masts on a number of neighbouring planets. Ultimately, this turns these planets into gigantic transmitters.

Unfortunately for the Caveman race - one of the chosen planets is Earth. If the aliens succeed in installing their system, the huge electromagnetic field generated will surely wipe out all life on Planet Earth.

Hey John, you can still upload a new version for feedback if you wish. Perhaps users needing XNA turned them off of it. In the future, we may have specific contests like just XNA, Flash, Unity etc. This game was really fun and let me know if you would like any feedback or help!
