Introducing the Top 10 Finalists!  ( by tony )

We received over 80 great games for this contest so you can imagine how difficult it was coming up with a list of just ten finalists.

The decision process was long and grueling as the judges were arguing for their favorites.  Some of the them are still not on speaking terms!  Well, the decisions were finally reached!

Here are your ten 2BeeGames Indie Game Competition Finalists!

(Don't) Save the Princess! had us laughing the whole time as we sent the hero to his doom.  An innovative little puzzler.  Seeing the bones and blood victory screen never seems to get old.

Aces Wild is a sweet 2D sidescrolling beat 'em up.  It's still very early in the development process, but we loved its potential and we really want to see where it can go.  It plays really well on a gamepad.

We loved the audio-visual journey Auditorium sent us on.  The music is amazing and the gameplay is fresh and unique.  I also think they may have bribed some judges with some sweet Philly Cheesesteaks!  I call shenanigans!

Xtreme Buccaneer Broadside Battle on the High Seas 2008 is obviously here because the title is so full of win.  The art style is awesome and its loaded with humor.  Map the keys to a controller and it plays so much better.

The polish and presentation in Bumps is flawless. The gameplay and catchy music kept us playing for hours on end.

Heresy War brought back memories of our favorite space shooters, a long forgotten genre.  They game engine designed from scratch is a great technical achievement in itself.

Adam was ranting about how The Pretender Part One was an otherworldy Victorian elemental puzzle platforming romp.  The other judges just backed away and let him be... (Adam's note: Yes, those words actually came out of my mouth.)

We just wuv all the pretty colors and rainbows.  Yes we doo!  Besides being the most colorful game submitted, Save the Planet has some sweet gameplay.  Try blasting aliens and evil plants/bugs.

This game "blew" us away. (Ugh sorry had to go there)  But seriously, Storm shows a tremendous amount of potential and one that we wanted to encourage.

Seeing those Totems fall and crack is hilarious and strangely addicting.  The physics in this game are top notch as you try to land those totems safely.

Well thats all 10 of them, and a big congratulations to all of the finalists!

Remember, you only have 1 Vote per week so make it count!  You can discuss the games here on the blog as our forums are not open yet.  Enjoy and good luck to all the developers!

Are you sure that you can vot only once per week ?

I think the polish level and the "fun factor" had a big impact on choosing the 10 finalists.

Auditorium is such a fresh idea - I like the fact that it is different. I especially like the effects and music - most of all I appreciate the fact that you do not have pound on the keyboard. Much more cerebral than a lot of stuff these days
